However, these treatments are extremely intrusive and expensive and ultimately damaging to the immune system and there is a strong case for using complimentary medicineas a support to recovery alongside chemotherapy. In a case of early detection of high white cell counts and, while the medical profession is still trying to decide whether the problem is an infection or Leukemia, there is an opportunity to assist the body to redress this imbalance in a few weeks prior to the situation becoming severe enough to justify medical intervention. In these cases my herbal support treatment may be used as a stand-alone program and has the potential to redress the balance and reverse the diagnosis before having to commit yourself or your child to months of intensive treatment. My herbal Leukemia Support formulation contains the following herbs; Yarrow, Red Clover, Comfrey, Echinacea, Rosehips and Nettle with appropriate Bach Flower Remeds (Pine, Centary and Gorse) and is given in conjunction with my Maritime Pine super antioxidant. There are cautions which apply when prescribing this herbal combination as follows; I am prevented by law from including herb Comfrey in internal mixes given to Australian patients even though Comfrey is a very powerful healing and blood quality support herb. I am however, able to include this herb in mixes for patients residing overseas. The herb Echinacea is never to be given on its own to Leukemia patients as it has the potential to dramatically increase white blood cell counts and I only include a drop or two into a mixture containing much larger amounts of Red Clover and Yarrow which strongly support red blood cell production and health. Leukemia may be seen simply as a blood imbalance problem and if treated by a professional with the appropriate blood quality and blood cell balancing herbs, the imbalance may be reversed and its progression into full blown Leukemia prevented. It is important to address the emotional factors predisposing every individual who deveops Leukemia as well, and for this appropriate energetic healing and councelling, forms an important part of my overall treatment recommendations.
